University IT Technician in Networks - Cal Poly Pomona | January 2022 - June 2023
As a University IT Technician in Networks at Cal Poly Pomona, I have been responsible for various crucial tasks. I have successfully provisioned Cisco phones to UCM Voice and Unity Voice, ensuring efficient communication systems for the university. Additionally, I have conducted remote troubleshooting on Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise switches, efficiently reconfiguring groups to their correct VLANs, enabling or disabling ports, and ensuring optimal port security. Managing a network connection that spans over 100 buildings, I have worked diligently to ensure that students and teachers have strong and uninterrupted connectivity. My role has also involved a deep understanding of infrastructure and location-based devices, allowing me to troubleshoot network connectivity effectively. Furthermore, I played a key role in setting up a DataCenter Pod, where I installed switches and routers, and established necessary wiring and connectivity.

University Housing IT Technician - Cal Poly Pomona | August 2021 - December 2021
During my tenure as a University Housing IT Technician at Cal Poly Pomona, I contributed to the smooth functioning of IT systems in the university housing department. I specialized in troubleshooting Eduroam Wi-Fi authentication issues on laptops, phones, and tablets, ensuring seamless and reliable Wi-Fi access for residents. Additionally, I assisted with projector connections for presentations and multimedia experiences, ensuring an optimal learning and living environment. As part of my responsibilities, I provided valuable support in troubleshooting VPN (GlobalProtect) connectivity issues. Furthermore, I played a crucial role in desktop deployment and imaging through Network IPv4, streamlining system setups for efficient use. I also implemented MAC address whitelisting for IoT wireless devices, contributing to enhanced network security measures.

IT/Networking Internship - Virtually Testing | Sep 2020 - January 2021
During my IT/Networking internship at Virtually Testing, I had the opportunity to collaborate on various network design projects. These projects involved working with Layer 2 Switches (2960 Model), Layer 3 Switches (3560 model), and Routers (4331 model). Through this experience, I gained practical knowledge and hands-on experience in configuring VLANs, subnetting, LACP, and HSRP, which solidified my understanding of switching and routing protocols.

I am an intrepid explorer and a true lover of adventure. There's something magical about immersing myself in nature and discovering hidden gems that can only be found off the beaten path. It's during these moments that I truly come alive. Along the way, I've embraced numerous outdoor activities, but hiking holds a special place in my heart. In fact, my ultimate goal is to embark on an epic journey to visit all 63 national parks in the United States. It's an ambitious undertaking that fuels my passion for exploration.

However, my journey took an exciting turn when I discovered my fascination for computer networking. My quest to become a cloud engineer began at Moorpark College, where I earned my Associate of Science degree in Computer Science. This educational foundation laid the groundwork for my continued pursuit of knowledge at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where I proudly obtained my Bachelor of Science degree.

Throughout my academic journey, I've acquired a wealth of techniques and technical expertise in the field of computer networking. The more I learn, the more my love for this dynamic field grows. My aspiration is to become a consummate professional in the realm of computer networking, ultimately realizing my dream of becoming an architect who designs and constructs comprehensive networks for organizations.
